| Description: |
1950s western starring Rock Hudson. It's 1835, and at Fort King, Florida Lt Caldwell (Rock Hudson) is under arrest for killing a sentry. At the court-marshall, the events leading up to the arrest are told in flashbacks. Unease between the Army and the local Indians is heightened by the Indian-hating Major Degan (Richard Carlson), commander of the Fort. When Indian chief Osceola (Anthony Quinn), a close friend of Caldwell, is arrested and subsequently dies under a flag of truce, Caldwell tries to make peace, but is jailed by Degan. |
