When they share a room as students, Jonathan gives Sandy tips on women, only to conduct an affair with Sandy's girlfriend Susan (Candice Bergen) behind his back. Later, after Sandy and Susan are married, Jonathan conducts a long affair with Bobbie (Ann-Margret), and faces a difficult decision after she attempts suicide. |
