Description: |
Box set containing three movies starring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. In 'Billboard Dad' (1998), fun-loving sisters Tess (Mary-Kate) and Emily Tyler (Ashley) decide it's time for their single dad Max (Tom Amandes) to start dating again. So to help him on his way, the girls place a giant lonely hearts advertisement on a Santa Monica billboard. Pretty soon the offers start flooding in, and after a series of disastrous dates, Max meets Brooke (Jessica Tuck) and falls head over heels in love. But the girls have a surprise in store - Brooke's son is in fact their skateboarding arch-rival. In 'Switching Goals' (1999), the Olsen twins play Sam and Emma Stanton, twin sisters who are identical in looks but not character. Sam (Mary-Kate) is a tomboy and a soccer star and Emma is more interested in her clothes than her on-pitch skills. The twins are signed up to teams: Emma (due to their Mum's insistence) to the team coached by their father (Eric Lutes) whilst Sam finds herself in a team where she is a better player than the coach. As everyone is unhappy with this arrangement the sisters decide to switch teams for an important tournament, but in order to do this they also have to switch personalities and this is when the fun begins. In 'Passport to Paris' (1999), US teens Ally and Mel Porter (the Olsen twins) have been packed off to Paris to spend the holidays with their Grandpa Edward (Peter White). This would be great, but Gramps bores the girls silly by putting them on a strict timetable of museum visits so that they might soak up all the great cultural benefits of the illustrious city. Never mind though, the girls soon hook up with supermodel Brigitte (Yvonne Scio), who promises to take them on a tour of the boutiques and fashion houses which make up the real Paris. Things then get even better when the troublesome twins meet a couple of handsome French lads. |
