Description: |
The complete first series of the BBC house-share sitcom written by Andrew Davies ('Middlemarch', 'House of Cards' and 'Pride and Prejudice'). In 'Big Wednesday' Mandy (Samantha Janus), Martin (Matthew Cottle) and Matthew (Ben Chaplin) all have their share of love troubles. 'Working Girls' sees Mandy get into hot water when her new job as novelist's researcher brings her into the author's lusty clutches. In 'The Great Escape' Mandy has once-again started off on the wrong foot with a dream man, this time a millionaire. Back at home agoraphobic-in-denial Matthew challenges Martin to a game of American football in the living room. to help pass the time. In 'Bad Timing' Martin decides to quit the house and become a teacher, and Matthew gleefully begins interviewing females to take on Martin's room. In 'Matthew - A Suitable Case for Treatment' Matthew's obsessive daily schedule of staying in, eating pizza and looking through Mandy's underwear drawers comes to light. Finally 'Fame' sees Matthew opt to cure the blues by getting a new life as a rock star, if he can just get out of the house... |
