Description: |
Every episode from all three seasons of the BBC sitcom about three twenty-something flatmates. In 'Big Wednesday', Mandy (Samantha Janus), Martin (Matthew Cottle) and Matthew (Ben Chaplin) all have their share of love troubles. 'Working Girls' sees Mandy getting into hot water when her new job as novelist's researcher brings her into the author's lusty clutches. In 'The Great Escape', Mandy has once again started off on the wrong foot with a dream man - this time a millionaire. Back at home agoraphobic, in-denial Matthew challenges Martin to a game of American football in the living room to help pass the time. In 'Bad Timing', Martin decides to quit the house and become a teacher, and Matthew gleefully begins interviewing females to take on Martin's room. In 'Matthew - A Suitable Case for Treatment', Matthew's obsessive daily schedule of staying in, eating pizza and looking through Mandy's underwear drawers comes to light. 'Fame' sees Matthew opt to cure the blues by getting a new life as a rock star, if he can just get out of the house... In 'Roundheads and Cavaliers', Mandy is trying out a celibate lifestyle, while Matthew (played by Neil Stuke from this episode onwards) is refusing to leave his bedroom. 'Slime Surfers and Jissom Monkeys' sees Mandy arranging an appointment with her gay psychologist friend, Jason (Mark Powley), for the increasingly agoraphobic (and homophobic) Matthew. In 'Double-Hard Bastards and Girlie Shirt-Lifting Tosspieces', Jason manages to get Matthew to the gym, where the macho agoraphobe is blissfully unaware of the stir he's causing. In 'Heavy Bondage and Custard Creams', Mandy is surprised when her ex-boyfriend Stoat (Eddie Marsan) turns up. He says he's been away in the Navy, but he's actually an escaped convict... In 'Tangerine Candyfloss and Herne Bay Rock', Martin is feeling terrible after splitting up with his girlfriend, Clare (Tracy Keating). Whilst 'Bruce Willis and Robert De Niro Holding a Fish' sees Martin becoming a Nightwatch volunteer to try to take his mind off things, but he has to get Matthew to help him out when a suicidal girl calls in. In Episode 1 of the third series, Mandy is deeply in debt, but has a new job - and a rich boss. In Episode 2, Martin gets a shock when he bumps into his beloved ex Clare, while Mandy goes on a date with her boss, Archie (Crispin Bonham-Carter). In Episode 3, Matthew decides to join the Marines, while Mandy and Archie have an embarrassing problem. In Episode 4, Archie's posh mother and sister come to dinner at the flat. In Episode 5, Matthew falls for his beautiful new neighbour, while Martin consults a lawyer about getting custody of baby Rosie. Finally, in Episode 6, Mandy and Archie's wedding day dawns - and Mandy is full of doubts. |
