Description: |
In the mid-1950s, famous scientist Albert Einstein (Walter Matthau) is at the height of his powers. When his highly intelligent niece, Catherine Boyd (Meg Ryan), becomes engaged to uncaring psychologist James Morland (Stephen Fry), Einstein decides to engineer a romance between her and Ed Walters (Tim Robbins), a dopey car mechanic. In order to make Ed a more appealing prospect for his niece, Einstein attempts to remodel him as a smart and fashionable man about town, and so sway Catherine from her dull fiancé. |
