| Description: |
Western drama. US Marshall Johnny Reno (Dana Andrews) is travelling to the town of Stone Junction in Kansas when he is attacked by two outlaws who mistakenly believe he has come to apprehend them. In the gunfight, one of the outlaws is killed, while Reno captures the other and takes him to the lock-up in Stone Junction. But the outlaw is the last witness to the town's shameful secret, a secret that corrupt mayor Jess Yates (Lyle Bettger) will do anything to protect. Reno now finds himself confronting the entire town in order to keep his prisoner alive, while trying to unravel the secret that they want to protect. |
