Johnny (Mars Callahan) is a promising young pool player, who has a bust-up with his mentor Joe (Chazz Palminteri). Disenchanted by the whole experience, he tries to settle to a real job, but when he hears that Joe has a new protegé, Brad (Rick Schroder), the old hunger kicks in and the stage is set for a showdown between the two of them.
