Description: |
'Till The Clouds Roll By' (1946) is a biopic of 'Showboat' composer Jerome Kern, starring Judy Garland and Robert Walker. Starting out as a penniless composer, Kern finds early success after moving to England. It is there that he meets his future wife, but his return to America is followed by a fallow period, which only ends when he begins a successful collaboration with Oscar Hammerstein II. 'The Judy Garland Show: Ford Star Jubilee' (1955) stars Judy Garland in her TV debut as a performer and includes a performance of 'Over the Rainbow', a song she would forever be called upon to sing in all her public appearances. |
