| Description: |
Chris Weitz directs this drama set in East Los Angeles following an illegal immigrant who wants to provide a better life for his son. Gardener Carlos Galindo (Demián Bichir) works hard in the hopes of moving out of the city so his son, Luis (José Julián), can go to a good school and avoid the ruthless gangsters who are trying to lure him into a life of crime. To make matters worse, Carlos and Luis are constantly under threat of being discovered by immigration officers. When Carlos's truck, which he bought with borrowed money, is stolen, the pair must attempt to find it so they can begin to work their way to a better life. |
