Description: |
Collection of four films from the 'Carry On' stable of British comedies. In 'Carry On Again, Doctor' (1969), Jim Dale plays a surgeon who sets up a slimming clinic on the basis of a potion from the Beatific Isles. In 'Carry On Camping' (1969), Sid (Sid James) and Bernie (Bernard Bresslaw) attempt to trick their girlfriends into attending a nudist camp with them. Fellow holiday-makers include Dr Soaper (Kenneth Williams), his matron Miss Haggerd (Hattie Jacques), and their school of overdeveloped young girls (including Barbara Windsor). In 'Carry On Up the Jungle' (1970), Frankie Howerd plays an explorer searching for a rare bird in the African jungle who is captured by an all-female tribe. Terry Scott is the Tarzan-like jungle boy. Finally, in 'Carry On Henry' (1971), the team present a seaside postcard view of English history, with James as the lecherous Henry VIII, and the likes of Williams and Scott providing the background 'ooh-ers'. |
