| Description: |
Collection of four films from the 'Carry On' stable of British comedies. In 'Carry On Girls' (1973), Sid Fidler (Sid James) convinces Fircombe council to hold a beauty contest, but the local women's lib action group opposes the idea. In 'Carry On Dick' (1974), the notorious highwayman, Dick Turpin (James), disguises himself as a vicar to avoid capture. In 'Carry On England' (1976), Kenneth Connor plays the commanding officer of a mixed-sex, anti-aircraft battery who finds himself powerless to stop his company from fooling around, both on and off duty. Finally, in 'Carry On Behind' (1975), a beautiful Russian archeologist played by Elke Sommer joins a British dig with chaotic results. Things are further complicated by the presence of hordes of glamorous campers at the caravan park next door. |
