| Description: |
In the early Seventies Larry Flynt makes millions publishing the pornographic magazine 'Hustler'. He marries go-go dancer Althea Leasure (Courtney Love), but in 1972 is arrested on charges of obscenity and organised crime. He is defended by Alan Isaacman (Edward Norton), and though sentenced to spend 25 years in prison is released after five months. This is only the beginning of lengthy legal proceedings, however, throughout which Flynt, though shot and paralysed, campaigns for his own freedom of speech. |
