Double bill of fast-paced thrillers starring Shia LaBeouf. 'Eagle Eye' (2008) stars LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan as college dropout Jerry Shaw and single mother Rachel Holloman, two strangers who are thrown together by an anonymous female caller who coerces them into carrying out a terrorist cell's plot and then uses their mobile phones and computers to track and control their every move. Billy Bob Thornton and Rosario Dawson co-star. In 'Disturbia' (2007), Kale Brecht (LaBeouf), is a teenager placed under house-arrest after punching his Spanish teacher in the middle of class. Deprived of his X-Box by his had-enough mother Julie (Carrie-Ann Moss), Kale becomes a voyeur, increasingly interested in the lives of his neighbours, particularly Ashley (Sarah Roemer), the new girl next door. As his observations increase, Kale becomes convinced that another neighbour, Mr Turner (David Morse), is the serial killer at loose in the community. Is there more to Mr Turner than he makes out, or is it just a case of an overactive imagination? |
