An updated version of the classic monster movie. An oil executive (Charles Grodin) sees the chance to make his fortune when he stumbles upon a remote island, whose inhabitants worship a giant ape-god - Kong. Capturing the mighty beast, the oil magnate brings it back to New York, earmarking it as the greatest attraction to come to Broadway. The ape has other ideas, however, as he goes on the rampage through the streets of the Big Apple. Jessica Lange heads the non-primate cast, as the only human Kong learns to trust. |
