| Description: |
Corrupt police detectives Frank Divinci (James Belushi) and Rodriguez (Tupac Shakur, who was shot days after completing the film) run a drugs scam on the side - the former to help finance early retirement, the latter to pay off gambling debts. When they kill a dealer who turns out to be an undercover Drug Enforcement Agency employee, they attempt to frame vagrant alcoholic Joe (Dennis Quaid) for the killing, using Divinci's girlfriend Cynthia (Lela Rochon) to testify falsely as a witness. However, attorney Arthur Baylor (James Earl Jones) smells a rat. |
