Sid 6.7 (Russell Crowe), a virtual composite of over 200 real-life killers, breaks out of cyperspace and goes on a real world rampage, proving practically unstoppable due to his uncanny knack of regenerating himself at will. The only man capable of taking a stand against Sid's destructive genius is imprisoned ex-cop Parker Barnes (Denzel Washington), so the authorities swallow their pride and offer him a pardon on condition that he accept the task of deactivating Sid and saving the city. Trouble is, with both Parker and Sid let loose in the city at the same time, it's uncertain how much of it will be left to save. |
