| Description: |
Sid (Steven Mackintosh), Gwenny (Lisa Palfrey) and Boyo (Matthew Rhys) have cared for their eccentric mother (Siân Phillips) since their father disappeared several years ago. Money is already a problem, and things become critical when Sid and Boyo miss out on jobs as miners. Sid and Gwenny then embark on a drug and alcohol-induced fantasy in which they imagine themselves to be beat-generation heroes Jack Kerouac and Joyce Johnson. Meanwhile, Boyo becomes increasingly alienated, and is shocked when his mother makes a startling revelation. |
