| Description: |
Three thriller movies starring Vinnie Jones. In 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' (1998), after losing all their money to London crime boss Hatchet Harry (P.H. Moriarty) in a card game, friends Eddy (Nick Moran), Tom (Jason Flemyng), Soap (Dexter Fletcher) and Bacon (Jason Statham) decide to steal from their drug-dealing neighbour, Dog (Frank Harper). Using guns stolen from burglars in the employ of Harry, the quartet carry out their heist, leaving their money at Eddy's. However, as they set about disposing of the evidence, they are unaware that there is more to their firearms than they thought. Jones plays Big Chris, the man sent to take the four pals down. In 'Johnny Was' (2006), trying to escape a violent past in Ireland, Johnny Doyle (Jones) hides out in Brixton. But when his sociopathic former comrade and mentor Flynn (Patrick Bergin) escapes from Brixton prison determined to derail the Irish peace process, Johnny faces not only being dragged back into violence and away from his new love, but also igniting a simmering feud with his 'Yardie' (Jamaican drug gang) neighbour. In 'The Number One Girl' (2005), Joey Scalini (Tony Schiena) is one of Hollywood's biggest action stars and the undefeated full-contact martial arts world champion. When his life-long friend and London mob godfather Dragos Molnar (Jones) invites him to serve as a celebrity judge on the televised World Fashion and Cosmetics Beauty Pageant, hosted by Mr. Sakata (Pat Morita), Joey finds himself falling for the most beautiful contestant Tatiana, (Lisa McAllister) with dangerous consequences. |
