Description: |
Triple bill of US horror films. In 'The Unborn' (2009), directed and scripted by David S Goyer, a young woman, Casey (Odette Yustman), is gradually becoming possessed by the spirit of a boy who died in the Holocaust. With the help of Rabbi Sendak (Gary Oldman) and her college professor Mr Shields (Rhys Coiro), she must do all she can to overcome the evil curse before it threatens not only her own life but those of everyone she loves. 'Quarantine' (2008) stars Jennifer Carpenter as Los Angeles television reporter Angela Vidal, who, along with her cameraman Scott Percival (Steve Harris), is assigned to spend the night shift at a fire station. A routine 911 call takes them to an apartment building where it appears that some of the residents have become infected by an unknown deadly virus. When a group of residents try to escape with the news crew in tow, they find that the building has been completely sealed off by officials and all contact with the outside world cut off. When the quarantine is finally lifted, the only evidence of what took place is contained in the news crew's videotape... 'The Strangers' (2008), starring Scott Speedman and Liv Tyler, is the film debut of writer/director Bryan Bertino. When young couple Kristen (Tyler) and James (Speedman) arrive at an isolated holiday home belonging to James's parents, they are looking forward to getting some much-needed rest after travelling back from a wedding reception. But terror awaits them when three masked strangers burst into the house in the middle of the night, turning their peaceful retreat into a living hell and forcing them to fight for their lives. |
