Trevor Nunn's TV adaptation of the Shakespeare play, transposed to 1930s Berlin. Jewish moneylender Shylock (Henry Goodman) provides Antonio (David Bamber) with a loan, stating that if it is not repaid he will claim a pound of flesh.
