English language remake of the popular French comedy 'Les Visiteurs'. When 12th century nobleman Thibault (Jean Réno) accidentally drinks a drugged potion and is driven to kill his beloved Princess Rosalind (Christina Applegate), his servant Andre (Christian Clavier) gets a wizard to cast a spell that will send them back in time, thus enabling them to avert the tragedy. However, the spell backfires, and Andre and Thibault are in fact propelled forward in time, ending up in 21st century Chicago. How will these two luckless inhabitants of the middle ages manage to survive in a modern day big city? And, more to the point, will Thibault ever see his beloved Rosalind again? |
