Description: |
Triple-bill of Hollywood classics, starring Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas and John Wayne. The western 'Vengeance Valley' (1951) stars Lancaster as the adopted and favoured son of a successful rancher who has to face the jealousy and malice of the rancher's worthless natural son. 'The Big Trees' (1952) sees Douglas playing a greedy lumberjack and property developer, intent on clearing acres of redwood forest that are considered sacred by a local religious group. It is only when he falls in love with one of the group that his intentions change, and he begins to help them instead against an even more unscrupulous company. 'The Man From Utah' (1934) is an early western, where Wayne plays a Marshal's deputy sent to investigate mysterious deaths and corruption at a popular rodeo show. |
