Synopsis: |
This volume contains the results of an official survey on the housing situation and attitudes of households for all types of tenure in England in Spring 1992. 3285 interviews took place for the main survey, plus an additional 354 supplementary interviews at housing association addresses. The survey provides information on perceptions, needs and attitudes based on specific household situations, tenure, recency of moving and many other matters. For example, the survey details reasons for house moves, DIY activity, dwelling type preferences, community spirit, additional mortgaging, why renters do not buy, satisfaction with landlord maintenance, relatives living in the area, storage space, security, and satisfaction with size of rooms. |
